How to fix communication error in the printer
Setting up a printer could be a hectic task and once it’s been set then you get ‘error communicating with printer” or a problem communicating with the printer.
This could happen to any device through which your printer is connected, whether it’s your windows device or Mac. So if you are getting “Printer not found; Printer offline; Printer not connected; Error:
"Problem communicating with the printer";
Error: “Error writing to LPT1"; Nothing connected to printer port; Will not print; No communication; Printer not ready;”
Then this can be solved in some simple steps.
First, check whether your printer is connected via USB or Wi-Fi. This is important because both cases follow with a different solution. Make sure that all the cables are connected to the printer properly. You can reboot the printer by removing these cables and again attaching it properly. This may fix some minor bugs in the printer.
Follow these steps to fix the major bugs.
Step1- on your computer screen you will see My Computer, right click on the icon. You will see properties tab on the window. Click on properties and it will show an option of Device manager.
Step2- after clicking on device manager, click on the (+) sign to add devices. This will show all the host devices that are connected through USB or Wi-Fi. Find your printer brand (Epson, Lexmark, Canon, Hp, Brother and more)
Step3- check for the name of the printer on the same tab. double click on the selected printer then it will tell you whether the connection is established or not.
Note: even though if all the ports are properly connected and still the connection is not established then there might be some hardware issue in the printer.
Step4- lastly if not accessible you can uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers that will help you fix all the errors in the printer.
